About the Club
Born Out of Necessity - Surviving Adversity - Building for the Future
Nurturing Motorsport in the Scottish Highlands
With the nearest kart racing venue over 100+ miles south of the Highland Region, the formation of the North of Scotland Kart Club and the construction of the Littleferry Circuit in 1978 was absolutely vital not only to the growth of 'grass roots' motorsport in Scotland, but to the sport's very existence and survival in the Highlands,
Although most motorsport clubs and venues in the UK struggle to make ends meet, the NSKC and its circuit has endured more than its fair share of financial plight and adversity, brought about by storm damage and coastal erosion in 2014, to the point where both the club and the circuit were literally fighting for their very survival; (See "The Flood.")
Now in 2019, with the club still battling coastal erosion at its Littleferry Circuit, it is at least emerging from the financial shadows and the burdens of debt incurred rebuilding the sea wall. Help us continue to develop Scottish motorsport talent.- Visit our DONATE NOW page.
The North of Scotland Kart Club is incorporated as a limited company (SC172287) operating as a not-for-profit organisation operating from Littleferry Circuit, Golspie, Sutherland, UK
Where on Earth is Golspie?
We may be Britain's most northerly motorsport venue - but that doesn't mean we are out of reach!
OK... so it might be a bit of a trek for a one day race event, but wherever your 'home track' might be in Scotland, PLEASE come race with us. And even if your are south of the border make a trip to our Littleferry race circuit the highlight of a holiday trip to Scotland - The area has something to offer for all the family - young and old.
